How Active Design transforms spaces: A case study

This philosophy is perfectly illustrated through one of our recent projects—the complete transformation of a 90-square-meter apartment, initially designed with three separate bedrooms. Our client envisioned a spacious open-space concept—a unique and challenging project that we gladly embraced.

From Vision to Reailty with Active Design Interior Production

Initially, the apartment featured a conventional layout with white walls, standard rooms, and enclosed spaces. The client desired a radical transformation into an open, airy environment enriched with luxurious details and sophisticated functionalities.

To realize this vision, we demolished internal walls, creating a spacious master bedroom with direct access to a luxurious bathroom made of glass and marble. We integrated a walk-in wardrobe directly connected to the bathroom, transforming everyday life into an extraordinary experience of comfort and luxury. For an even more enjoyable experience, underfloor heating was incorporated into the bathroom.

The kitchen, originally located at the opposite end of the apartment, was repositioned according to the client's wishes, resulting in an ergonomic cooking area. We added a central island with a bar, which, aside from practicality, became a central socializing spot.

Special techniques requested by the client, such as concrete wall finishes and cave effects, gave depth and character to the space. Ambient lighting was meticulously planned and implemented on multiple levels, transforming the apartment into a warm and inviting home.

Every aspect of the project was executed within our company—from detailed conceptual solutions to complete furniture and interior production. Our team carefully listened to and realized each client's wish.

Luxury and Comfort: The luxurious living room was designed entirely in glass, offering spectacular views and direct access to a spacious terrace, creating an ideal atmosphere for relaxation and socializing. Interior production by Active Design ensures everypiece is meticulously crafted and harmoniously integrated.

We connected this space with the dining area and kitchen, custom designing and producing kitchen elements and an exclusive dining table, harmonizing all elements into a cohesive unit that exudes sophistication and style.

Lighting: We carefully designed multi-layered ambient lighting that highlights interior details, providing optimal warmth, comfort, and a distinct sense of luxury.

Smart System: A fully integrated smart system was installed, easily controlling all home functions—from lighting, heating, and air conditioning to electrical appliances—with a simple touch.

Space Utilization: The guest bathroom was transformed into a larger bathroom with a practical laundry room, creating additional external space for an elegant orange-colored glass shoe cabinet. This significantly enhanced the functionality and aesthetics of both spaces.

Replacement of Heating Elements: Outdated box radiators were replaced with sleek heating panels, maintaining a sense of elegance.

Details on Floors and Walls: The entire space was designed for harmony, including decorative black floor moldings aligned with lighting lines. Wall switches were discreetly designed, blending aluminum and glass to remain nearly invisible.

Throughout the entire process, special attention was dedicated to natural light, creating an optimal visual and emotional environment. Carefully selected wall colors contributed to warmth and comfort. 

Natural materials played a crucial role, seamlessly blending with the color palette tailored to the client’s style and preferences.
